Jungle Gem Detail: Goff's Brand

This isn't a perfect photo by any means, but it's also not as bad as it might seem. The stamp or template is on some pretty deeply grooved wood, but the thin lines on the top line of text are particularly wavy because of the surface. I took this shot as I was moving quickly through the line. I wasn't sure exactly what it was when I shot it, but with all the gags in the Jungle Cruise, it was bound to be interesting. So I just lowered my camera down near my knee and shot it without looking at the viewfinder and moved on.

So it turns out it was less of a gag and more of a tribute to Disney Legend and Imagineer Harper Goff. He was instrumental in helping Walt Disney design Main Street, many aspects of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - including the Nautilus (movie and ride) and, of course, the Jungle Cruise.

He was born in 1911 in Collins, Colorado, so hopefully that makes most of the info make sense. The only thing I'm a little puzzled by is the chest-high rubber overpants refers to, but in the bio linked above, it says he was in a firehouse jazz band with some other imagineers, but nothing about the pants specifically. I know the Disney geeks out there are pretty sharp when it comes to this stuff, so feel free to help me out with a comment.
