Abandoned House Milford, Feb 1998

This house sat empty for many years along the railroad tracks south of Milford, Indiana. I suppose it has some Italianate characteristics but no real defining detail work to make it distinctive for the style.
Google shows a number of outbuildings behind where it stood, which is how I remember it. The bricks on the house were double layered with a small space left in between, I guess for insulation. The outer layer had deteriorated on the other side so badly that many of them had fallen off. One reason it may have been abandoned was that it was very close to the tracks which are very busy. It was demolished many years ago.
