I was staying outside Paris in a town called Argenteuil. Along the river Seine. Pretty rough neighbourhood. BUT... great view on La Défense from my 5th floor ghettofabulous hotel room. Beautiful fall colours on the trees next to the Seine.

Met an Algerian guy at the hotel who complimented me on my Civic. We talked about cars and living in Paris and he also lived in London. He spoke French, English and Arabic. We talked about Algeria and Algiers and he told me it is super safe to go there. "Is it safe to go to Timgad?" He: "Yeah, no problem".

Pack your bags, we're going to Timgad.
