Sheikh Zayed Mosque XIII, Abu Dhabi, 20240324

Inside court of the 2007 Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Our visit was early morning at opening, 10:00 hours. You can visit as non Muslim. This is the biggest mosque in the UAE. There is a huge parking and at the parking you have to take an escalator down which takes you into a mall. From the mall you have these moving walkways which takes you to the mosque. From the parking to the mosque is about half a kilometer; all underground! Back above ground you'll have some time to see the mosque's exterior and the inner court and at the end the interior. It is very pretty. They have rules: knees and shoulders should be covered by clothing and woman have to cover there hair. For small kids it is less strict.

Everything is very detailed and precious materials are used everywhere. This huge inner court is decorated with marble mosaic and features flowers. You can also see the flowers in the pillars.
