Salsify - a photo on Flickriver

            I couldn't find anything past its sell by date in the loft tonight but I did find a jar of Salsify seeds. I meant to plant these ages ago when a friend gave them to me. Can't be too late now surely!

Anyway, I've lit these with my new flash system. Godox MF12's. They are frickin' awesome for such a small unit and suit macro perfectly. I have 2 at the minute but I'm sure I'll add to the set up.

The seed head was around 3" from the front element of my Laowa 100mm macro lens. Left MF12 gelled orange @ 1/8, right MF 12 gelled teal @ 1/4. Both flashes mounted on a ring screwed to the filter thread of the lens. Triggered via Godox Xpro.

Numerous images stacked with Helicon Focus for the obvious narrow DoF.
