High Noon Starlight - a photo on Flickriver

            Seven hours late, the Coast Starlight arrives at Dunsmuir, California in June 1984. When the train is on time, it normally calls significantly before sunrise. A few hardy souls greeted the train.

I had been out railfanning and discovered that Amtrak was spectacularly late. For fun, I rode Amtrak 14 to Klamath Falls, and then had to convince a family member to drive me the 90 miles back to Dunsmuir so I could get my car.
