Down the hill from our house, there used to be a very nice BN-style station sign that made a nice prop for photos. Unfortunately, as part of BNSF's project to create a stretch of two main tracks for a few miles, the nomenclature of the area changed. Consequently, the sign was removed.

On a bright July morning in 2011, Southern Pacific 4449 passes the station sign for Washougal, or "The Shoug" as it is called by the locals. The train was a day trip from Portland to Wishram and return.
