Pirimela denticulate. The Toothed Crab. A small crab, with small pincers. The edge of the carapace has five large teeth either side. A dead, or shed carapace on the strand-line.  The Collins pocket guide says common, but i have only seen it once, and the NBN map looks a bit sparse.     It's small and burrows in sand, so that might be the reason.
