2013 Update -
I have contacted Nikon's customer support a few times since this rant. I have noticed a significant change in how they respond to my questions and answer my requests. It's a good change, and I am pleased. :) I'm going to pretend it had something to do with all my whining... *wink*

I'm sorry to be such a grumpy flickr friend! I'm just SO mad at Nikon. Forget my camera problems... I gave up on them with that long ago... but do you remember my color profile problem with their software? That was nearly three weeks ago, and they are still running me around with uploading NEF files!!! >:-(

My computer refuses to upload to Nikon's site. I can upload to Flickr, or skydrive, but not Nikon's website. So, they give me an email address, but NEF files are over 10MB so I couldn't email them through my regular email accounts. I decided to crop them in ViewNX2 to reduce the file size. I was told with my past software issues that this is the only acceptable program to edit a file in so it doesn't lose important information. This is not good enough, so I uploaded them to skydrive. They told me over and over they can't access it (anyone in the world could and many people did because I made them PUBLIC.) They even told me to convert the NEF file, but this is where the problem was to begin with... converting files. I have been asked a number of times if I emailed them to the address... I guess they don't read my replies that said no, I cannot upload larger than 10MB. I then tried to use a google email account and get it to them through YouSendIt, but something must be wrong with my internet connection because it just won't work. Now they are saying that uploading them anywhere else won't work because "important information" is lost during compression. I copied and pasted all the metadata available in ViewNX2, but I doubt that will be good enough.

It's bad enough they won't fix my camera and I have to look to Tamron to help me figure out what is wrong, now they have to drag this on forever, too. I'm so mad!
