            This shot shows what appears to be the lead and iron fixings for a former plaque, or the like. It might possibly be an early repair, but the recessed shape suggests the former. Various bits of inscriptions can be seen, but mostly Victorian graffiti by the look of it.

No doubt the right light would allow fragments of the early inscription to be seen, but time and weather need to be right too.
