Yad Vashem – the World Holocaust Memorial Centre in Jerusalem - is an incredibly moving museum and site. www.yadvashem.org/ It is impossible to describe the depths to which humanity sunk in trying to exterminate Jews in Europe in the mid-20th century. But antisemitism has a much longer history – way before that, and since.

The Holocaust History Museum www.yadvashem.org/museum/holocaust-history-museum.html is a “long linear structure in the form of a spike cuts through the mountain with its uppermost edge – a skylight – protruding through the mountain ridge” which can be seen as symbolic in coming through a terrible tragedy into the light. “it presents the story of the Shoah from a unique Jewish perspective, emphasizing the experiences of the individual victims through original artifacts, survivor testimonies and
personal possessions.”
