I used a tripod for this one still I could not a long enough shutter speed I needed or wanted for this one as it was quite windy.
I chose the longest shutter speed I could use here without getting unwanted motion blur, I think it was about 0.5 s or 1/3rd s.
I used my FE20mm f1.8G (my night walk or run lens). It was a part of my long night walk shoe testing.
I was testing my New Balance 1080 V11 for a long walk , I already knew it is a superb shoe for running, but for a long walk or daily use?
I think it is a superb if not the very best shoe for long walk too.
It really prevents injuries and protects my sensitive right feet very well. Allows me to go longer and faster than I normally can with my Adidas Ultraboost 20, Nike Infinity React or any other shoes I have personally tested.
I like the shoe very much, and now I am pretty sure I am going 100 percent 1080 V10 and V11 for walking and running.
I even love their Fuel Cell Propel version 1 and version 2 for casual walking, and about 30 minutes running which I normally do every other day.
I think the New Balance replaced my Nike Pegasus 37 , 38 and all Adidas shoes for running. So now my Pegasus 37 and 38 are kinda lifestyle shoes in my rotation.
I think Pegasus 37 and 38 are not bad shoes , in fact I love them still, but there are many more better shoes for my style of running or walking long.
For life style use though, the Peg 37 is a great shoe , I love that one especially at its current 6000 yen price.
I think I just prefer the softer ride of the NB 1080 or Fue Cell Propel. These are super bargains , compared to the shoes like Ultraboost 21 (what a joke for the seriously insane price Adidas asks for the junk), Nike Invincible(love it too but just overpriced), or Hoka Clifton 7, I am sure in the USA it is cheaper than my NB , but in Japan it is 4000 yen more than my NB 1080 V11.
A lot of people believe or trust reviews and buy what they recommend but I really suggest you not easily trust them.
Many of them are not buying these shoes they test with their own money, some of these guys tell you clearly some company sent this or that shoe for review purpose, but some never honestly reveal that.
And even if they are honest , maybe what works the best for their specific feet type does not work for you or me.
So I think I like to test any shoe or lens myself, I know how I am going to use them , they do not.
I mean if they are even a bit serious or honest they cannot recommend the Adidas Ultraboost 21 or DNA5.0 over any thing from NB, Nike or Saucony.
The Ultraboost 21 is a joke, do not work very well for both lifestyle use and running.
IMHO, for lifestyle use the DNA is better.
For serious running or even long walk , Nike NB Saucony etc. offer a lot better cheaper option than the crappy Adidas.
I think Adidas should have kept the UB line a bit more causal lifestyle type of shoe for us collectors, but the actual 21 is more like a seriously failed wanna be running shoe.
It is a huge betrayal to us , they should have kept that line more casual , more lifestyle and more comfortable for casual use.
I think Adidas tried to listen to the review community and tried to make the UB a more serious long distance running shoe for running YouTubers.
I think it is a huge misstep. The UB line should be an ultimate comfortable casual shoe, not for running, or even serious walking. None of the UBs before the PB , Summer Ready .etc. were like that , but even the PB was not as trying to be serious as the 21.
So no wonder most of those so called running YouTubers love the 21 more than the 20 or DNA, however, most of us who have bought most of Boost shoes the collectors across the world dislike it.
And the current Adidas sell on these tells you the true popularity of the new Ultraboost 21.
These are already marked down significantly, and Adidas is still selling the 20 as a lifestyle shoe CC1. This very fact reveals how unpopular the ugly 21 really is.
It is a shoe for no one, I think Adidas is trying to reestablish Ultraboost line at least the latest version a serious Running shoes series. But it is not what most of UB collectors want , it may be a bit better running shoe than all its predecessors , but still a lot worse shoe than the shoes like the NB 1080 V11, the Saucony Triumph 18 and Nike Infinity Run 2 and costs about 40 dollars more than any of these.
I mean even the cheap super discounted Floatride Energy 3 from Reebok or Nikon Pegasus 37 or Structure 23 seems to be a lot more shoe than the much more expensive Adidas UB21.
To me it is a failed wanna be serious running shoe , and I prefer the DNA much better than the 21 as a casual pair.
So for me NB wins in almost every shoe category now.
There are many reasons why they are the best for me, and might even be the best for you.
1 some of their highend shoes are made in the USA, or made in the UK.
2 NB is one of these Podiatrists approved shoe brands.
3 their shoes even casual ones have 4E or B with(personally I do not need wide or narrow shoes , but it is a respectable fact of NB).
4 NB even the made in the UK shoes are cheaper than Adidas overpriced Yeezy clown shoes.
5 unlike some Jordan Retros these NB never destroy one of your feet.
I mean if you ask any of serious podiatrists , they'd normallyrecommend you one of these brands; Saucony, NB, Brooks, Vionic, Allbirds, even Skechers.
Even Skechers are a much better shoe maker than like of Adidas , Reebok and Puma according to podiatrists.
I think NB 574 and 237 are like this lens FE20mm f1.8G, extremely practical, affordable and already a living legend.
