For me these are just perfect shoes, the shoes of the year of 2023 contenders for sure, maybe the best shoes of all time.
I love them that much.
Really love these, just super comfy and super practical shoes that do not compromise on the material or style.
In fact, I even think these are the most comfortable sneakers of all time that also the happened to be the most beautiful silhouette of all time.
I really love them, but unfortunately, these are expensive, not many colorways I like yet, and therefore, I do not own many pairs of these. Just the Triple Black like Phantom Cabon colorway and this worn blue. I am eagerly waiting for the new Triple Red to drop here, but I think they may never sell that colorway here as the Vomero 5 are not very popular here.
Most of Nike kids here love the Dunks, the AF1, the airmax, and of course Jordans. People here are boring people, no style of their own, just copy each other or chase the shit hyperbeast morons on YT.
To me, the Vomero 5 and P6000 are much more beautiful shoes than any airmaxes or any Jordans ever released here.
The Vomero 5 really rocks and much better than I thought, in fact, I still love my OG pair from 2009. They seem never crumble unlike the airmax 90 or airmax 97, whose expected lifespan is just like 7 years even unused. I recently compare my Vomero 5 vs NB 1906R Saffire, I prefer the Vomero 5 for their better more responsive sole unit. I also prefer the Vomero 5 to NB 990 V6, 5, 3. I never own the v4, but I think the Vomero 5 seem to work best for me.
Anyway, I really love this colorway and the OG Phantom Grey.
But what I really want is the triple red Vomero 5 for my birthday. I love all red shoes. Oh, almost forget the Pegasus 40 new all red colorway is just dropping here. And I will cop that too. I think this Vomero 5 Worn Blue (and also the mustard colorway) is super underrated. For me easily the shoe of the year, much better than any NB 99X or Jordan, or any airmax shoes ever. I think the NB 860 V2 comes closest to these, but the Vomero is still a lot better than the 860 v2 or the 1906R. The main issue of the 860V2 is that these are stability shoes originally, and for us without pronation issue, these shoes are not very comfy. The Vomeros are neutral shoes.
UPDATE: I bought the Vomero 5 Timeless colorway recently and these are made better than this pair worn blue.
And I find not all Vomero 5's are made to be the same fit. The Timeless colorway pair seem to be wider than this pair.
And the Triple Red I bought in this week seem to be longer than the other two pairs of my Vomero 5.
One British YT was trashing on the Vomero 5 due to the synthetic upper material they use, he said the Vomero 5 at their very high price even as a GR, they should have got better materials. Well, I, for one, do not want to genuine leather in the Vomero 5 series or P6000 series, as these are meant to be used as seriously comfortable everyday kicks rather than some premium NB 990-like just meant to be displayed at your studio kind of kicks. Many Youtubers cannot understand we do not want to have seriously expensive and high-maintenance leather upper on a shoe like Vomero 5 or P6000 or 1906R or 860 V2. Those are designed to be abused, not just displayed or stored for many years in one of your shoe display rooms. For actual performance shoes or meant to be abused kind of beaters, the genuine leather or suede can be the worst shoe upper material. The NB 990 series are not for real performance or serious walking or like that, but the Vomero 5 or the P6000, or even the NB 860V2 are designed to be actually abused every day. After all, they were a serious running pair just a decade or so years ago. I really hope those genuine leather cults on YouTube to stop trashing about the shoes like Vomero 5 or 860 V2 just because they do not house real leather. Many people who walk in rainy days or living in a wet climate, actually prefer synthetic material or nylon or mesh over any real leather in our super comfy actually used often kind of practical beaters.
