This image was inspired by Mark Lilly , as I have wanted to take this shot for a long time ever since I saw his image from here about 4 years ago,

I finally made to this spot at the dark last weekend. The 10-hours (4 hrs driving+4 hrs hiking + 2 hrs shooting) was well spent with a ideal condition.

I used PlanIt App to plan the shots, and used Yiupai sunset/sunrise forecast to predict the clear sky.

Here is the first share from that night as I have not seen any shots from this angle yet. The 4-verticle shots stiched to make this curve Milky Way. I used two low level lighting to light up the entire scene.

p.s. I just realized that another great bay area photog inspire me all the time, Rick Whitrace is the first one (his photo was taken in 2012) I have known right now to have this composition. Salute for Rick's pioneering idea!
