St. Mary's Orthodox Church (originally built in 1921 as The Radio Temple), 12 Mile Road and Gardner Avenue, Berkley, Michigan. June 2024

            Photograph shows a castle-shaped church viewed from the corner. It has a yellow-brick and limestone-block facade, topped with battlements that grow taller toward the center, above tall arched windows framed in limestone.  There is a battlement-topped tower in the nearest corner. Above the battlements is a brown dome topped with an  orthodox-style cross. A triangular limestone peak frames an arched doorway at the base of the tower. The side of the building is brick of mixed colors. The setting sun is shining on the top of the building, and a blue sty with hazy clouds is above.
