L2024_0971 THE EARL shunting at Welshpool

At Welshpool after arriving with the 11:30 from Llanfair THE EARL took water and then performed some shunting moving the unfitted goods vehicles to the rear of the train.

this involved removing the brake van first and placing it in the loop. Then removing the open wagon before coupling together and propelling them into the loco release road by the water tower.

One the freight wagons were placed there the locomotive propelled the train back to couple them to the rear before returning to the platform for passengers to board the train which formed the 13:15 service back to Llanfair Caereinion.
