David Fife - a photo on Flickriver

David Fife

            David Fife, a good friend of mine and a damn fine artist, was asked to paint a stylized mural of Main Street in downtown Wilmington on a backdrop in the historic Murphy Theatre.

He prefers to work in the early morning hours when no one is around to look over his shoulder, but after a late night beer at the General Denver on a recent Friday night, he asked if I'd want to come shoot while he worked.

The backdrop will be used during the holiday performances at the Murphy, and, rumor has it, will still be up when Glenn Beck brings his “America’s First Christmas” broadcast to our quaint little town. Dave was mum on his thoughts about that.
