_Katehaki Pedestrian bridge, Athens – design by Santiago Calatrava_

Just when I thought I was done with this bridge, while wanting to send the link to a friend, I realized there was one more shot I never uploaded here. It was this one, the first one indeed that I had taken of this bridge. So here it is, the “Overture”.
This shot opened my eyes to a lot of things and was a turning point in my way of processing. It was when I realized that I have to work on my photographs the same way I was working on the drawings of buildings that I used to do, that I have to “see” the light in the same way I was doing back then. And it really is the same. Ever since, every time I start working on a new photo is like I was sitting in front of a white paper on my draw board, with a pencil in my hand, trying to create the world from the beginning...
