First flown with the Boeing test registration N1796B, this aircraft was delivered to Arctic Leasing and leased to Norwegian Air Shuttle as LN-DYU in Aug-11.

Already affected by the Boeing 737 MAX groundings in Mar-19, the COVID-19 Pandemic in early 2020 made life more difficult for Norwegian Air Shuttle and they had severe financial problems.  The airline applied for bankruptcy protection and the aircraft was returned to the lessor in Mar-21 and stored at Kemble, UK.

In May-21 Norwegian emerged from bankruptcy protection and formed a new company, Norwegian Air Shuttle AOC, together with a new sister company in Sweden.

This aircraft was leased to Norwegian Air Shuttle AOC, still as LN-DYU, in Dec-21.  It remained stored at Kemble until it was ferried to Naples, Italy for maintenance in Apr-22 and re-entered service the following month.  Current, updated 28-Nov-23.
