An 8,000-kilometer pure electric road trip.

            In August 2024, I drove a NIO ES8 electric vehicle from Shanghai to Gansu Province in the northwest of China, embarking on an in-depth road trip to experience the deserts, grasslands, and Gobi landscapes of the region, as well as its diverse cultures. The journey took two weeks, covering a total of 8,000 kilometers. The NIO ES8’s 150 kWh battery provided exceptional long-range endurance, ensuring an stress-free driving experience without concerns about battery life. Additionally, the vehicle’s various smart features contributed to a highly comfortable experience during the long-distance drive.
