What developing chemicals do to glazed ceramics

            This is a cautionary tale.  The top piece of glazed ceramic was coated in liquid emulsion and put into developer, stop and fix chemicals.  The image didn't develop properly, so we scraped it all off, only to find that the chemicals had caused this whole network of cracks on it.  Now glaze is pretty damn tough - and the bottom piece is how it looked beforehand - so if the chemicals do this to it, what does it do to my fingers?  I'm going to have to rethink the way I can't be bothered to use tongs, and pick things out with my fingers when I'm printing.....
