(Instructions) Weird Asymmetric Sonobe (WASS) — Spiked Icosahedron

This modular origami unit behaves like the Sonobe unit and can be used to build similar shapes, but its structure is asymmetric, hence the name. Solids built from this unit have plain square faces like those made with Moreno’s unit. Assuming the paper’s side is _a_, the length of the folded unit’s square face is a⋅√2/4 ≈ a⋅0.35 which is slightly more paper effective than Moreno’s unit (a/3 ≈ a⋅0.33).
