On June 10, 2023 the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Foundation hosted the first annual "Blaze a Trail with LAFD" and took a walk on the wild side at the Los Angeles Zoo!

Attendees enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the picturesque LA Zoo—covering 2.2 miles—all before it opened to the public.

Participants of all ages will visited the park’s most beloved animals, learning about the wonders of nature as they witnessed these majestic creatures in their natural habitats.

The morning concluded with a family-friendly expo featuring fire trucks, firefighting equipment, and an array of fire safety activities. Children and families explored our impressive vehicles up close, and learned about the vital role these tools play in the safety of their communities.

It was a great family friendly fund raiser and we're already looking forward to next year.
