Lembert Dome and the Tuolumne River

Late autumn and the Tuolumne still flows from melting snow on the peaks high above Tuolumne Meadow. In the distance, the large slab of granite is Lembert Dome, to the right Dana Peak and Mt. Gibbs complete the horizon. Take a deep breath, the air up here is thin but cool and crisp this time of year. You may see a few hikers, but for the most part you will have the meadow completely to yourself.
