Heaton Mersey shed, Stockport. Stanier 8F 48197 outside the 1889 Cheshire Lines Commitee (ex-Great Central & Midland) shed waiting to be towed to the scrap yard. Steam finished & the shed closed in May 1968. The motorway cuts across to the left of this view now on what was the CLC main line.
