            The view from Goods Way is not what it used to be!!

The heavy-duty wiring supports and posts tend to obliterate the trains from sight although the fine 1852 Cubitt trainsheds & Great Northern Hotel still stand out as does the Gothic splendour of St Pancras, station & hotel, in the background.

A modern-day "Great Northern" Class 321 electric multiple unit 321407 is entering the 1870-era suburban platforms on the right, there are 3 Virgin Mark 4 DVT trains in the main line platforms and far left is an East Midlands Trains HST which will head I know not where.

The gruesome concrete car park on the right covers what was once "Bottom Shed" and the Hotel Curve platform. I should confess that I have surgically removed the giant lighting mast that now dominates any view from here.
