            Outside Phnom Penh station is preserved & plinthed ex-CFI 2-6-2 131.106. Built in 1910 by Franco-Belge Raismes, France works No.1878.

The entire  Cambodian Railway service in Cambodia is currently withdrawn (as of January 2012) an Australian-Cambodian joint venture has been given the right to run the railway for the next 30 years. The Australian contractor is renovating the line from the station to Km 42 and because of the HSE requirements no-one is allowed on the station site. There was no sign of any work being carried out but the high-vis dressed gate guard would not let me in even to go close to the engine so this was taken from the gate.
