Gereed om te gaan

Voor de voormalige kunstmestloods in Crèvecoeur-le-Grand staat diesellocomotief 103 gereed voor een inspectierit. De Train à Vapeur du Beauvaisis heeft hier een ruime plek voor werkplaats en museumlijn gevonden. De eerste vier kilometer van een voormalige normaalspoorlijn zijn reeds omgespoord naar meterspoor. Binnen enige jaren moet een museumlijn van twaalf kilometer lengte tussen Crèvecoeur-le-Grand en Saint-Omer-en-Chaussée gerealiseerd zijn. Gezien de gerealiseerde forse aanpassing van de werkplaats en het hoge tempo waarmee het eerste del van de lijn aangepast is, kunnen we vertrouwen in deze doelstellingen hebben.

De leuke - typisch Frans primitieve - locomotief werd gebouwd door de Compagnie de Chemins de Fer Départementaux (CFD). Sinds 1948 deed de machine dienst bij de Chemins de fer du Doubs. Het is een van de rijvaardige museumstukken uit de interessante smalspoorcollectie van de Musée des Tramways à Vapeur et des chemins de fer Secondaires français (MTVS).
