Silver Gull (Larus novaehollandiae) DSC_0556

            Silver Gulls (Larus novaehollandiae) at North Durras Lake, New South Wales. Also known simply as "seagull" in Australia. This species has become more abundant due to food supplied by urban waste and they are now so numerous they compete with terns and other seabirds for nest sites.
