            Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan held a press conference to announce the expansion of the State Tuition Assistance Reimbursement Program on Jan. 16, 2020, at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore. Maryland's STAR Program will be expanded to provide up to 100% of the cost of any in-state tuition for undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as professional, vocational, or trade courses.

Hogan also announced that he would introduce legislation that will exempt all military retirement from state tax and will allow those military members who have occupational licenses earned in other states the ability to transfer them to Maryland.
