Place Jacques-Bainville
Place Jacques-Bainville is a square in the 7ème arrondissement of Paris in the quartier Invalides. A length of 52 meters and a width of 20 meters. Located in between the Boulevard Saint-Germain and Rue Dominique. It takes its name from the historian Jacques Bainville (1879-1936).
The entrance of métro station Solférino is located here as well.
The marble sculpture is made by Antoine Poncet (a sculptor born in 1928 in Paris) and placed here in 1994 and titled les Ailes de l'Aurore.
