Twinflower- Linnaea borealis

            Linnaea borealis is a plant species in the   honeysuckle family (Caprifoliaceae).  It is a boreal to subarctic woodland subshrub, commonly known as twinflower. It occurs in open forests, heaths, and open dry slopes in the mountains across the northern hemisphere from Siberia to Sweden and across North America. This plant was a favorite of Carl Linnaeus, founder of the modern system of binomial nomenclature, for whom the genus was named. The long hairs sticking to the plant are not part of the flower but parts of seeds from another plant. A complete such seed is seen to the left of the main stem. I do not know what plant it belongs to.
