Looking back to the lake and my starting point.

            I had a good number of aims for my recent Caucusus trip of which one of the key intentions was to go for a good mountain hike. 

I realised that aim on this day after setting off from the shores of Kari Lake. My aim for the day would be the South Peak of Mount Arogat. This mountain is not to be confused with the even higher and more prominent summit of Mount Aurorat which is located fifty miles away over the border in Turkey. 

As can be seen the start involved a straightforward ascent at as nice gradient. I needed that as I hadn't been hiking a great deal of late and at this point I would be at an altitude of nearly 10,000 feet.  

The true angle of view is 24mm not 8.9mm.
