U.S. Navy Capt. Jeffrey Timby is leaving a legacy for Afghanistan: an improved trauma response system. He and his team spend the previous year planning and teaching trauma care to Afghan National Forces personnel. Timby plans to continue educating Afghans on emergency care through establishing a program where Afghan surgeons will come to the U.S. to observe emergency response systems, then return to Afghanistan with the intent to improve systems in that country.
