The Postcard
A Comicard Series postcard that was published by E. Marks, Fine Art Publishers of Torbay Road, Kilburn, London N.W.6. The artwork was by Al Ford.
The publishers were obviously operating under a fairly broad definition of what constitutes 'Fine Art'.
The card was posted in Weymouth using a 2d. stamp on Wednesday the 17th. August 1955. It was sent to:
Mr. & Mrs. R. Sherriff,
Emborne Cottage,
Fifth Road,
Newbury,
Berks.
The message on the divided back of the card was as follows:
"Dear Marge and Reg,
Weather is being very kind
and not too hot.
We have all been in the
sea so look out for a tidal
wave.
Jim."
