Extreme example of Tamron SP 90mm (52B) Sensor Reflection problem

            Long exposure pointed into a light source results in the dreaded sensor reflection problem with this lens. The rear element of this lens has a flat surface and apparently it interacts with the reflective surface of the CMOS sensor in DSLRs! Now how wacky is that? Maybe the CMOS sensor needs an anti-reflective coating in the non-sensor areas to reduce this problem? But since it's only a problem with this lens (who knows? Maybe others also show this issue) who cares? It's exacerbated at smaller apertures and longer exposures....and pointing it straight into light sources! And it's avoidable...

If you use the lens for what it's made for (macros and portraits ... oh yeah, and FILM SLRs!) it's not a problem. Now I need to try it for portraits.
