Loretta Lynn in concert at the Capitol Music Hall (now Theatre) on May 26, 1973 on the WWVA Jamboree USA. Two performances were held this evening at 7:30pm and 10:00pm. Appearing with Lynn were The Coal Miners, Randy and Sandy Burnett, and Kenny Starr. In addition, the Jamboree style show featured Landon Williams, Lynn Stewart, Stone Mountain Boys, Bud Cutright, The Heckels, Freddy Carr, Country Roads, and the Oglebay Promenaders.

In 1972, Loretta Lynn was named CMA Entertainer of the Year. She was the first female winner of the award. Other nominees this year included Merle Haggard, Freddie Hart, Charlie Pride, and Jerry Reed.
