            This time of year it's not hard for me to find Spiky.  I just put on a wool shirt and take a walk.  I'll come home with a handful of these things clinging to me.  These are Xanthium or cocklebur seed pods.  They have hooks at the end of each spike that catch in the fibers of your clothes or in your dogs fur.
