Kila, Montana 59920 - a photo on Flickriver

                       Flathead County.  The Kila post office building, seen in 2023.  West of Kalispell, near Smith Lake, Kila was so named by the Post Office Department when its post office application was approved in 1901.  The local residents has intended to honor an early-day settler in the area by the name of Kiley.  The post office was opened in 1901 (May 27) with Harry Neffner as postmaster.
