St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church is part of the history of the community that developed after 1903 in the Spring Lake district of Alberta, following arrival by rail of German settlers from Minnesota. A store, school and St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church at Spring Lake served the adjacent rural community. Here’s a good write up on the history of the church
