Today after meditation we walked through Hakone Gardens, a beautiful Japanese garden in Saratoga, California. It is not spring yet, but we saw these marvelously blooming flowers hanging on long thin stems from a small tree. I am not a flower photographer, but I wanted to try. I took this shot with my favorite 50mm prime lens at maximum aperture f/1.8. The flowers are pink, but I like this monochrome look.

I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW exposure.
