AOSX 460 OHIC 5032 Minerva 2/4/19

            It is right around 8:30am on Feb. 4, 2019, at the start of a sad day on Ohi-Rail, as a gaggle of older equipment used by the OHIC is being readied to be interchanged off the property. The crew has just warmed up F40M-2C 460 to drag three other units (AOSX 452, OHIC 47 and 221) and two cars (CP caboose 434581 and AOSX coach car 1182, former Minerva Scenic) south to the OHCR interchange at Apex, Ohio. All six pieces of equipment are now off the property for good, unfortunately. A nice 20-mile run down the Piney Fork Sub from Minerva to Apex made for a good send-off.

Hard times have hit the OHIC lately, as the only revenue they have coming in right now is from car storage and one remaining company (visible in the background). The two NS GP38's they purchased in 2016, 5032 and 5045, are more than enough power to handle what little activity the railroad sees at the moment.
