Una joya esta locomotora ex CP 1525 construida por Alco nada menos que a finales de los años 40 bajo licencia de English Electric. Fueron designadas para prestar servicio de pasajeros y mercancías por el Alentejo y Algarve Portugués. Las pocas que quedaban en el año 2000 fueron transferidas a empresas de mantenimiento y cosntrucción ferroviaria en donde, aparte de mantenerlas de manera impecable, prestan sus servicios con cortes de tolvas de balasto o plataformas con traviesas. Esta 1525 se encontraba estacionada en Vilar Formoso

A real gem, this former CP 1525 locomotive built by Alco no less than in the late 1940s under license from English Electric. They were designated to provide passenger and freight service throughout the Alentejo and Portuguese Algarve. The few that remained in the year 2000 were transferred to railway maintenance and construction companies where, apart from maintaining them impeccably, they provide their services by cutting ballast hoppers or platforms with sleepers. This 1525 was stationed in Vilar Formoso
