Marymere Falls

            In the rainforest along the rim of Lake Crescent, is the highest waterfall in Olympic National Park.  Nestled in tall cedars and feed by Falls Creek running down from the Aurora Ridge, Marymere Falls drops about 90' to a small pool, which then feeds a smaller fall into Barnes Creek.

The northwestern and western reaches of Olympic NP are so very different from the images more frequently seen from Hurricane Ridge, looking toward the Olympic Mountains from the east.  This area is dense, lush, verdant temperate rainforest, with massive cedar and hemlock trees, ferns, and plenty of rainfall.

Easily accessible from US 101, this waterfall is a great hike for families and people with disabilities.
