Sand Dollar Details - a photo on Flickriver

            My muse for the week has been waiting for the right light to capture the details of a sand dollar. Finally, an overcast sky, and low tide allowed me to scour the beaches for my subject.

I was able to find a sand dollar of perfect size, in a tidal pool along the sandy shores. The sun had done its job drying it out, and in doing so revealed the crunchy, gritty textures, and details I was after. 

Another secret detail of the west coast is revealed to me. Woop Woop.
