1951 DeSoto Model S15-2 Custom Suburban 9 Passenger Taxi Cab

            Here are some scans from analog pictures of a DeSoto from my photo archive.

Like most other car brands DeSoto continues after WWII with existing prewar or early war period models. 
DeSoto started to use long wheel based sedans and limousines in 1936. Most models were both available with standard size chassis and long-size.
In 1946 the '42 chassis combinations were retained, except for the long-wheelbase DeLuxe. For sale were a seven-passenger sedan, a limousine and the interesting DeSoto Suburban. The 1946-1948 Suburban became very popular as taxi cab and for transferring guests to hotels and airports.
This also counts for the 1950-1952 Suburban S15-2 Series successor, which even could house nine passengers.
Here we see a Turkish taxi DeSoto from that period. Here they are called Dolmus.
