DEDPXL07 - The World Has Changed

Decided to enter the DEDPXL07 competition.

You had to come up with a concept that included three things;
A human, some sort of news delivery device/service and then something that had been spilled or was in the process of spilling.

I chose to show a few different ways that we can get news nowadays...be it from a newspaper (the newspaper in this is one from Wednesday, September the 12th, 2001. My mum saved that and the papers from the following days and then gave them to me a few years ago...) or some newfangled bit of technology. And as with everything, there's always too much going on. I'd like to think that the person out of frame for instance is as shocked as me in the frame at the news hence them pouring too much coffee and that's also the reason that the cigar isn't lit. Also, I really like the idea that whoever the person in the picture is, he might just be in charge of all of this...he is sat in a Director's chair after all...(that being said, he could also just be Hades or something and just hasn't got around to lighting his morning cigar as he catches up on the news of the day and he's about to put whoever's over-poured the coffee back on the rack for a few thousand years...who knows??)

I like the idea that people can look at this and take their own story away...let me know what you see when you look at it...?

I've never attempted anything like this before and I'm so proud of it. It's always good to do something outside your comfort zone!
