Interior of the red car 301 from the Marunouhi line circa 1954

            Interior of the red car 301 you saw earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). This car is built in Japan circa 1954 to a design of the cars then used on the New York subway at that time, after paying due royalties for certain electrical systems etc. I'm not sure if the interior is based on the New York design as well. Notes and more pictures about this car appeared earlier in this album (see previous pictures). This is in the Metro Museum in the Kasai district of Tokyo, Japan which traces the history of Tokyo's subway system starting from it's commencement in 1927 right up to the present day.
