Take to the Waters

            Wilbur Hot Springs in Colusa County, CA, was originally established as a health spa in 1865.  By the early 1900's, the spa was falling apart.  New owners rebuilt the current resort in the 1970's about 1/4 mile from here.  At some point, a masonry fountain was erected on top of a spring, but it is now an eroding sulfurous trickle of metal-laden water.
