Exact triangulation!

            The Steinheil "V-Cassarit 50 mm F 3.5" is a very simple 3 element design and yet an absolutely magnificent lens, when used at certain magnifciations and with the subject in the middle of the frame. I'm pretty sure I've never seen a sharper triplet.

I suspect that the same lens (in slightly different, yet still similar design) was also sold as "Trinar 50 mm F 4" by Rodenstock, but I couldn't find any confirmation on that.

The best thing about it, is its beautiful triangular bokeh though, which features elegant, slightly rounded triangles, perfect for all kinds of experiments.

Shot with a Durst "Neonon 105 mm F 5.6" (enlarging) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
